Graduate Developer

Join the worlds leading software provider of integrated gaming solutions – Orbis Technology Ltd as a Graduate Software Developer. The role offers an opportunity to join a highly motivated and exciting team, working with leading edge technologies in the delivery of varied projects for major UK and overseas companies.  Successful candidates will have the opportunity to progress into team leadership, technical architect or project management roles if desired.  As a Graduate Developer your principal duties and responsibilities would be:

  • Development and support of software
  • Analysis of business requirements, design and implementation of solution
  • Part-live support of software

Your overall development will be supervised by a Technical Lead and Project Manager and this role does not include any supervisory responsibilities. 

 

We are looking for a person who has attained a First or Upper-Second Class Honours Degree from a well-regarded university in: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Math’s, Physics or Natural Sciences, supported by 'A' or 'B' grade A-levels, who has good interpersonal skills, is diligent, motivated is a good time manager. Someone with sound understanding of software engineering principles and with competence in at least one programming language.     

 

Highly Desirable Skills are:

  • Web based application development (client/server architecture)

Desirable Skills are:

  • Unix (Solaris, Linux), Windows NT
  • Transactional database experience
  • OO experience
  • Internet security, encryption and digital certification.
